MCLAREN RELEASES SPORT PACK TO SHARPEN UP THE 570GT
The McLaren 570GT is currently the most relaxed variant in the Woking-based brand’s Sports Series thanks to its relatively soft suspension, reduced steering ratio and extra luggage space.
But, apparently due to customer demand, McLaren is now offering a Sport Pack option for the 570GT that renders it somewhat sharper to drive. In effect, the 570GT is given the 570S’s steering rack, damper actuators and uprights as well as that model’s adaptive damping, steering system and electronic stability control. In addition, the 570GT gains a set of Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres.
Further personalisation options for the 570GT include an electrochromic roof (with a driver-controlled variable tint) and as many as five new design edition packs, each featuring a popular body paint with a complementary luxury interior.
The twin-turbo 3,8-litre V8 remains untouched, sending 419 kW and 600 N.m to the rear through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
