PRICEY CUSTOM WRANGLER PAYS HOMAGE TO WILLYS JEEP
The current-generation Jeep Wrangler is set to be succeeded soon, but that hasn’t stopped German tuner Geiger from putting together a special edition that pays tribute to the model that started it all: the Willys Jeep.
Fitted with an untouched 209 kW 3,6-litre naturally aspirated Pentastar V6 mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the Geiger Willys is finished in Nato Green and features a cloth top. A set of olive-green 17-inch alloys (wrapped in 265/70 rubber and designed to look like steelies) adds to the classic look.
Geiger has also fitted ridge-style front and rear bumpers, a new tailgate with a spare-wheel-holder and a special winch.
Just 10 of these special edition vehicles will be produced, each bearing a jaw-dropping price-tag of €69 900 (that’s about R1,2-million)…
